DESIGN RATIONALE
The author expressed in an interest in highlighting the wall that was being built in the book of Nehemiah, as it is a significant part of the story. The story is about Jewish exiles returning to Jerusalem and rebuilding the city walls. This study is specifically for women, so the author also expressed interest in creating a design that appealed to women while also branching out from stereotypical bible studies for women.
In my design, I used elegant and minimal type and painted a pastel landscape highlighting the wall from the story. This allowed me to communicate the story themes while creating a light, hopeful, and feminine design that was unique to the existing market.
