PROJECT BACKGROUND
24Pages is a creative magazine on GCU’s campus, designed and put together by Canyon Creative Interns. The layout of the second issue was created during my time as an intern, and I was asked to create cover art for the front and back design of the magazine.
DESIGN RATIONALE
In this issue, the magazine incorporates pieces that all have a common theme of perspective, viewing the world through a creative lens. All of the photography pieces featured capture the world through a frame/view finder. These themes inspired the design of the front cover, allowing me to create something that represents this viewfinder in a way that is not just photographic. Additionally, I drew art for the back cover that was inspired by the viewfinder and other aspects of the 24pages brand itself - creativity, expression, boldness, and avant-garde.
